OCEANSIDE
The Oceanside Unified School District and University of San Diego’s Institute for Entrepreneurship in Education share a common goal of ensuring all students have access to practices and environments that promote their development of the qualities of the OUSD Global Graduate, which include: critical thinking and problem solving, life-long learners/scholars, effective communication and collaboration, creativity and innovative thinking, ethical decision making, and marketable workplace skills.
Over the 2016-2017 school year, IEE has partnered with central office leaders, teachers at ECHS and OHS, and teachers at various elementary & middle schools, with a focus in three primary areas:
Developing a culture of learning among adults and students
Building teacher capacity and mindsets
Leveraging technology to promote deeper learning
SCHOOLS AND OUTCOMES

OCEANSIDE HIGH SCHOOL
Cohort Facilitation and Coaching
At Oceanside High School, I co-facilitated five full-day workshops for a cohort of teachers looking to innovate, integrate technology, and bring active learning to life in their classroom. I also coached the 9th grade English team on integrating technology and developing cohesive project-based, active-learning units of study.

EL CAMINO HIGH SCHOOL
Cohort Facilitation
At ECHS, I co-facilitated nine full-day workshops, using Design Thinking to develop an authentic instructional model for the school vision: #SchoolIsReal. This work culminated in an open-house, where participating teachers invited their colleagues and community into their rooms to see #SchoolIsReal in action.

FOUSSAT ELEMENTARY
Whole-Staff Professional Learning
At Foussat, I led three staff professional learning sessions focused on inquiry into our guiding question: "What might the 4Cs look like at Foussat?" Together, we worked to identify how students might exemplify the behaviors associated with the 4Cs in their local context.

PALMQUIST ELEMENTARY
Small Group and Whole Staff Professional Learning
In addition to facilitating a whole-staff workshop on strengths-based team development using Gallup Strengthsfinder, I supported the facilitation of small-group inquiry on project-based learning.

LAUREL ELEMENTARY
Whole-Staff Professional Learning
At Laurel, I facilitated a whole-staff professional learning session on using technology to enhance literacy instruction. We explored student retelling using Shadow-Puppet, conferring notes in Google Forms, and digital student reading logs.
