In partnership with PUHSD and the Jacobs Institute, I collaboratively designed a vision crafting process with a cross-stakeholder group of parents, students, teachers, classified staff, and administrators. Drawing on survey data from over 1200 students and families, as well as over 400 staff members, we collaboratively drafted a vision, mission, and graduate profile that was later adopted by the school board.

Over the course of the following school year, I worked with a cohort of teacher leaders from across the district on designing lessons and units that exemplified the mission and vision, and which directly developed the graduate profile outcomes in students.

Simultaneously, I worked with district leaders and administrators at each site to calibrate and norm our understandings of the mission, vision, and graduate profile. We paid particular attention to building a shared understanding of what it looked like in classroom practice so that we could best support teachers.
